The Heart of Africa brand was developed by Traidlinks in 2006, together with a group of leading Irish companies, working hand in hand with African businesses sharing skills and support, to create a natural and healthy range of products.
The products included as part of the initial Heart of Africa project included delicious fruits, nuts, coffee and tea. All profits from the sale of the Heart of Africa range went directly to the communities they came from, creating more jobs and a better life for local people.
The Heart of Africa brand is currently featured in Dublin Zoo's Nakuru Restaurant (African Plains) whereby visitors can purchase freshly brewed Heart of Africa coffee made using the finest coffee beans from East Africa.
